marytwo proudly presents the group exhibition What Performance Artists Wear featuring contributions by Luciano Castelli, Lara Dâmaso, Barnaby Horn, Nils Amadeus Lange, Eva Maspoli, Martina Morger, Pipilotti Rist, Davide-Christelle Sanvee and Silvia Ziranek.
What Performance Artists Wear presents a range of costumes and designs that represent an ephemeral medium through garments. We have invited nine artists with an array of approaches, from work by fashion designers to handmade DIY pieces made by the artists themselves, to garments that push the boundaries of wearability. This exhibition offers a candid look at the symbiotic and complex relationship between clothing and performance art.
At the opening Silvia Ziranek (UK) performed her 2011 work NOT UNDIRTY for the first time in Switzerland, together with her daughter Yma Ziranek Wilson.
