marytwo has been invited to do a show at jevouspropose in Zurich! jevouspropose#20: We warmly invite you to the opening of Billy Morgan’s solo exhibition Lackadaisies on Wednesday 4th of June from 6–8pm at jevouspropose, Molkenstrasse 21, 8004 Zurich. The event is free and everyone is warmly invited to join! Olivia Rast will be joining us in Zurich, serving some yummy food to go with the famous jevouspropose cocktail.
We are thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with Billy again following their solo exhibition, In The Spirit Of The Place, at marytwo in 2022.
jevouspropose is a curatorial series by Sabina Kohler and accomplices. Several times a year, jevouspropose invites a personality to propose an artist with a specific group of works. The works will be installed in the space of jevouspropose, celebrated with an opening and remain on view for a while.
Billy Morgan’s (*1994, London) interdisciplinary practice foregrounds the fictionality of the body and its splitness. The estrangement of established structures – linguistic, relational, erotic, atmospheric – is at its heart. This gesture pivots around language and embodiment as realms of agency, transition and contradiction.
